Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Leads 365 LLC, an Arizona limited liability company operating the FreeWebGuy brand ("FreeWebGuy," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you visit freewebguy.com, send us a website brief, communicate with us, or use our free website design and build service (collectively, the "FreeWebGuy Services").
Hosting, licensing, and recurring billing for a live website are provided separately by SMBcrm. If you open or use an SMBcrm account, SMBcrm's handling of account, billing, platform, and hosted-site information is governed by the SMBcrm legal terms and privacy policy. Section 4 below explains the difference between FreeWebGuy's role and SMBcrm's role.
This policy does not govern a customer's own website or the information that the customer collects from its visitors. Each customer is responsible for the privacy notice and data practices on its website. Third-party websites and services also have their own privacy policies.
1. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information, including your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the contents of your communications with us.
- Website brief and project information, including your services, audience, service area, site goals, brand preferences, desired pages and features, public business details, and links or files you choose to provide.
- Customer content, including text, photographs, logos, product details, reviews, menus, policies, and other material you ask us to use on your website.
- Project and license status, such as whether a preview was delivered or approved and whether the SMBcrm license needed for launch is active. SMBcrm separately collects the account and billing information needed for its license.
- Device and activity information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, approximate location derived from IP address, and the date and time of a request. Hosting and security providers may process this information to deliver and protect the site.
- Information from other sources, such as public business profiles, referral information, and information from services you ask us to use for your project.
Please do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, medical information, or other sensitive personal information through the website brief or ordinary email. If a project requires regulated or sensitive data, contact us first so we can decide whether an appropriate service and written agreement are available.
2. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- review your request and decide whether we can take on the project;
- design, build, revise, and support your website project;
- communicate with you about your request, preview, launch, or support needs;
- coordinate preview approval, launch, and support with SMBcrm;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- comply with law and respond to valid legal requests; and
- send service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing email by using its unsubscribe link or contacting us. You will still receive necessary project and service messages.
3. AI-assisted tools
We use AI-assisted tools as part of our design and development process. Project information and customer content may be processed by service providers that help us draft copy, create design directions, write or review code, and perform quality checks. A person reviews the work before it is presented to you. Do not include confidential or sensitive personal information in project material unless we have asked for it and agreed on an appropriate way to handle it.
4. How the FreeWebGuy and SMBcrm brands handle data
Leads 365 LLC operates both FreeWebGuy and SMBcrm. FreeWebGuy uses the SMBcrm platform as its customer relationship management and project system. When you submit the website brief, the information enters that platform so our personnel can receive the request, communicate with you, and manage the build.
A live website requires a separate SMBcrm license. When you create or pay for that account, SMBcrm is the provider and merchant for the license, hosting, platform access, and recurring billing. SMBcrm collects and controls the account and billing information used for those purposes under its own privacy policy. Personnel supporting a FreeWebGuy project may use limited account or license-status information to coordinate launch and support. SMBcrm handles subscription billing and payment records under the SMBcrm brand and its published privacy policy.
If you want to exercise a privacy right concerning your SMBcrm account, billing, or platform data, contact SMBcrm using the instructions in its privacy policy. You may contact FreeWebGuy for information controlled by FreeWebGuy.
5. How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers that support website and content delivery, security, customer relationship management, communications, analytics when enabled, file storage, AI-assisted production, and professional services. This includes Cloudflare and service providers used to operate the SMBcrm platform for the purposes described in this policy.
- Services you request, when you ask us to use a registrar, payment tool, booking system, social profile, analytics account, or another third-party service for your project.
- Professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors, when reasonably necessary.
- Authorities or other parties, when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, property, users, or the services.
- A successor organization, in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for money. As of the effective date of this policy, we also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
6. Cookies, local storage, analytics, and online tracking
The site uses browser storage for limited functions. Local storage remembers that a website brief was completed, and session storage prevents the same exit message from appearing repeatedly during one browser session. You can clear this data through your browser settings. Cloudflare or another infrastructure provider may also use technologies that are necessary for security, traffic management, or reliable delivery.
Our site includes analytics event hooks, but they send information only when an analytics service is enabled. If analytics is enabled, it may collect device and activity information to help us understand site use and improve the services. If we introduce non-essential cookies or advertising technology, we will update this policy and provide choices where required before those technologies run.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT and this site is not designed to track visitors across unaffiliated websites for targeted advertising, we do not respond separately to DNT signals. Where applicable law requires us to recognize Global Privacy Control or another legally recognized opt-out signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. We do not currently engage in those activities.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the nature of the information, whether a project moves forward, our relationship with you, security needs, and legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
- Website briefs and related communications may be retained while we evaluate and work on a request and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain business records and respond to follow-up questions.
- Project and support records may be retained for the relationship and then as reasonably needed for legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Security and technical logs are retained according to operational needs and provider schedules.
- SMBcrm determines retention for SMBcrm accounts, subscriptions, hosted sites, and platform data under its own legal terms and privacy policy.
We may retain deidentified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify you.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures include encrypted transmission for the site and access controls for the systems we use. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe information you provided to us has been compromised.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to ask us to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information and provide access to it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- provide a portable copy of certain information;
- limit or object to certain processing; or
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
To make a request about information controlled by FreeWebGuy, email hello@freewebguy.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or use our contact page. Tell us the right you want to exercise and the email address or project connected to your request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and protect your data. An authorized agent may submit a request where the law allows, but we may require proof of the agent's authority and direct verification with you.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Some information may be exempt from a request, including information we must retain for legal, security, transaction, or recordkeeping purposes.
10. U.S. state privacy disclosures
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 1: identifiers and contact details; internet or other electronic activity; professional and business information; project content; service and license status; and preferences or inferences supplied by or derived from a website brief. We collect these categories from you, your use of the services, service providers, and public or customer-authorized sources. We use and disclose them for the purposes and to the recipient categories described in Sections 2 through 5.
We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. These disclosures do not concede that any particular state privacy law applies to FreeWebGuy.
11. Children's privacy
The services are intended for business customers and are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to order services or an SMBcrm license. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
12. International visitors
FreeWebGuy operates from the United States and the services are intended for U.S. business customers unless we agree otherwise in writing. If you access the services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection laws than your location.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the services, our practices, or the law. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice, such as by email or a prominent website notice, when required. We will not apply a materially different use to information already collected without any consent required by law.
14. Contact us
