We’re at Fourth and Ormsby with four chairs and a free lot out back. Walk in Tuesday through Saturday, or request a set time with the barber you like.

Mornings run off the walk-in board. Afternoons, and all of Monday, are kept for people who asked for a set time.

Walk-ins

First come, first served

Write your name on the board by the door, with a barber’s name if you want someone in particular. Leave your number and we’ll text you when you’re two away, so you don’t have to wait on our bench.

The board stops taking names 30 minutes before walk-ins end, so everyone on it gets cut.

Pick the barber and the time

Send a chair request with the barber, the service and a time window. We text back during shop hours to confirm a time or offer the closest one. Nothing is booked until you get that text.

Prices are the same at every chair. Ask for someone by name, or take whoever is free next.

    Skin fades, tapers, line-ups

    Opened the shop and still cuts five days a week. Bring a photo of the fade you want and he will tell you if your hair will hold it.

    Scissor cuts, longer hair, curls, kids

    Most of the first haircuts in this shop happen in Rosa’s chair. She also takes the curly and past-the-collar cuts the clippers can’t do.

    Beards, hot towel shaves, head shaves

    Eli does the razor work. If your beard is growing in patchy or uneven, sit with him for a trim and a plan for the next few weeks.

    Classic cuts, flat tops, buzz cuts

    Tommy takes most of the walk-in list. Quick, tidy, and happy to give you the same cut you have had since high school.

Shop rules

The rules, in plain words

The same six hang on the wall by the register. If one of them trips you up, talk to Darnell.

  1. Running late

    Text us. Up to 10 minutes late, you still get the full service. Past that, we do what fits in the time left or move you to the next open spot. Your call.

  2. Cancelling

    Text or call at least 4 hours ahead to cancel or move a time. There is no fee. Miss two appointments without a word and we will ask you to come as a walk-in after that.

  3. Kids

    Kids of any age are welcome. A parent or guardian stays in the shop for anyone 12 or under. First haircuts go home with a lock of hair in an envelope.

  4. Paying

    Cash, cards and tap to pay all work. The price on the board is the price of the service.

  5. Tipping

    Tips are up to you, and they go to your barber in full. Cash or card, either is fine.

  6. Getting the cut you want

    Bring a photo, or tell us what you did not like about your last cut. Say it before the clippers come out, not after.

Licensed in Kentucky. Every barber here holds a Kentucky barber license, and the shop holds its own shop license from the Kentucky Board of Barbering. They hang at each chair and by the front counter, next to our latest inspection sheet.
